Nobody fishes golf courses so the Bass get huge, we take full advantage when they close due to tropical storms or whatever.

After fishing the golf course we caught some bait and went to the spillway to look for Snook. They open the spillways during heavy rains, basically a damn that releases the fresh water and rain into the ocean. Snook hide in the current waiting for smaller fish to get caught up in the fast moving water where they gulp them down.
He wanted a pic with my fish and i wanted to make sure I got a good shot of it! Just after this pic I took the Snook from him and went down to the water to get water flowing through his gills (revive him) That's where I went from knee deep to chest deep with my phone in my pocket, shoes floated away, lost my Penn visor and relized my phone was in my pocket. Took the phone out in a rush to toss it to shore and it slipped, hit the wall and went right to the bottom of the canal. Dove into the alligator infested water, found it , shook it out and then Dave said the Snook isn't moving, he's lying on the bottom. Dove back in grabbed him and spent a good ten mins chest deep trying to revive him....I must have really tired him out cuz it never takes that long. He finally swam away slowly which felt so good and I rushed home to take my phone apart. What a day!
